About Chris Findley

Chris Findley started his law enforcement career in 1994 as a detention officer in correctional facility in Middle Georgia. Throughout his law enforcement years, he held many positions in law enforcement to include patrol, patrol supervision, crime scene supervision and command staff. Currently, he is the Criminal Investigation Commander at the Chamblee Police Department in suburban Atlanta supervising investigators, crime scene personnel and a crime suppression team.

While working in law enforcement, Chris attended college where he earned three degrees: Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Master’s Degree in Forensic Science, and a Ph.D. in Public Safety. Chris has taught criminal justice and forensic psychology courses at the collegiate level for 15 years. He has also spent the past 20 years as a police instructor where he instructed forensic science courses, firearms training, defensive tactics training, and emergency vehicle operations.

Chris has over 1500 hours of police training in his career. Many hours of training were devoted to forensic science courses. Chris has many years of hands on experience in crime scene processing and reconstruction.
