About Anthony Fairbanks

Anthony Fairbanks is a Collision Reconstructionist and Impaired Driving Expert assigned to the Special Operations – Traffic Division of the Winter Park Police Department, Florida. In addition to the 3-core Traffic Collision Investigation courses, Anthony has completed the Pedestrian / Bicycle Collision Investigation, Motorcycle Collision Investigation, Energy Methods and Damage Analysis in Traffic Crash Reconstruction, Event Data Recorder Use in Traffic Crash Reconstruction and Human Factors in Traffic Crash Reconstruction courses.



For more than 24 years Anthony has investigated thousands of motor vehicle collisions involving pedestrians, motorcycles, bicyclists, drug/alcohol impaired drivers and commercial motor vehicles - many of which involved serious injury and fatalities.



Anthony’s training and experience as a crash reconstructionist has enabled him to utilize the professional application of forensic investigative methods, including speed analysis, time/distance analysis, human perception and response analysis, vehicle telemetry analysis, 3D LiDAR and aerial photogrammetric mapping, forensic 3D animation, and video content and motion analysis. By combining his knowledge with sophisticated forensic tools and software, Anthony has created numerous highly detailed visual exhibits and photorealistic 3D animations of collision and crime scenes that have served as compelling evidence in criminal and civil litigations.



In addition to his work with the police department, Anthony has served as an adjunct professor at Seminole State College and Valencia State College, where he has educated hundreds of professionals in advanced topics related to traffic collision investigation, drug and alcohol-impaired driving investigation, and breath alcohol testing.



Finally, Anthony is the owner of Delta V Consulting FL, a collision and crime scene reconstruction consulting firm. As a professional consultant Anthony has repeatedly been recognized as an expert in the field of vehicle collision reconstruction, video content and motion analysis and drug and alcohol impairment investigations. Anthony’s extensive experience and expertise in each of these disciplines has allowed him to testify in dozens of criminal and civil hearings.
