About Greg Sullenberger

Greg Sullenberger retired at the rank of Corporal after spending more than 20 years with the Pennsylvania State Police. Greg served as a Patrol Trooper, a Patrol Supervisor, a Training Instructor, the Collision Investigation Training Coordinator, and as a full time Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialist.

Mr. Sullenberger holds full accreditation as a traffic accident reconstructionist from the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR). He successfully completed the accreditation process in 1995.

Greg was deputized as a United States Marshall and worked on the forensic mapping team at the crash of United Airlines Flight 93 on Sept. 11, 2001. Greg and the other members of the team mapped all of the evidence and created a diagram for the FBI. The team was commended by the FBI for their services.

Since 2004, he has been an adjunct faculty member of the Institute of Police Technology and Management (IPTM), for whom he teaches courses in all levels of traffic crash investigation and reconstruction internationally.

Mr. Sullenberger is a member of the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the Fraternal Order of Police, President of the Pennsylvania Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Society (PCARS), and a member of the National Eagle Scout Association.

He has been an invited guest speaker at numerous conferences and seminars around the country. Greg has testified as an expert in numerous state and federal courts. In addition to expert testimony in crash reconstruction he has qualified, specifically, as an expert in occupant kinematics.
